Bono's heart 'absolutely fine'

According to a statement made to The Mirror Bono is in good health, despite recent press stories to the contrary.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 07 Sep 2011

Following the publication of reports of him being rushed to hospital for emergency treatment last month, the band's spokesman denied rumours of a health scare. 'Bono is in good health and enjoying a family holiday in the south of France', reads the statement published on U2's website on August 21. 'The sighting of Bono ‬at Princess Grace Hospital was due to a routine check up.'

However, fans and media were not convinced until Bono spoke to a Mirror reporter at the GQ Awards on September 6. When quoted by the newspaper, Bono said: “I’m fine, healthy and fighting fit. There’s no getting rid of me just yet!”

We're glad to hear that, Bono!
