Bossing around

Bono and Dave Stewart join Brooooce onstage for spontaneous three-headed celebrity jam

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 27 Nov 2002

Bono and Dave Stewart were the special guests on Monday when Bruce Springsteen's Rising World Tour swung by the American Airlines Arena in Miami.

The duo were given a heroes' welcome by the 17,000-strong crowd as they joined The Boss for a spirited rendition of 'Because The Night'.

With sax player Clarence Clemons fully recovered from the eye surgery that had forced the cancellation of some earlier dates, Springsteen & The E Street Band performed a barnstorming two-hour-and-45-minute-long set - which bodes well for their RDS stop-off in 2003.

Meanwhile, this week finds U2's The Best Of 1990-2000 at number one in Canada, Spain, Italy, Australia, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium and Holland. There are also top 5 placings for the collection in the US, Japan, Germany and the UK, making it even more successful than its 1980-1990 predecessor.
