Bruno Mars sells out Olympia show in eight minutes
The R&B singer must be pleased - he was also nominated for a BRIT Award yesterday
Hawaiian singer Bruno Mars is having a great week - yesterday the 'Just the Way You Are' star was nominated for Best International Breakthrough Act in the upcoming BRIT Awards – he's up against The Temper Trap, Glee Cast, The National and Justin Bieber.
Mars, who co-wrote some of the biggest hits of last year - (Cee-Lo Green’s ‘Fuck You', Travie McCoy's ‘Billionaire’ and B.O.B.'s ‘Nothin’ on You'), sold out all tickets for his March 9 show at Dublin's Olympia Theatre in just eight minutes this morning. His day went from good to better, with latest single 'Grenade' going to the top of the Irish singles chart.
The singer is also nominated for a staggering seven Grammys at this year’s ceremony, which will be held on February 13. His debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans is out now.
