Conor O'Brien picks up Ivor Novello nomination
'Becoming A Jackal' up for Best Song- Musically and Lyrically
Congratulations to Villagers aka Conor O'Brien who has been just been nominated for an Ivor Novello Award for his song 'Becoming A Jackal'. The annual awards reward "excellence in British and Irish songwriting and composing".The track is nominated in the category of Best Song- Musically and Lyrically and is up against 'Spanish Sahara' by Foals and 'MY KZ, UR BF' by Everything Everything. Other nominees in seperate categories include Katy B, The XX, Tinie Tempah, Bombay Bicycle Club, Plan B and Scouting for Girls.
O'Brien could become the first Irish winner at the awards ceremony since Snow Patrol in 2005 when it's held on May 19 in London.
