Today marks the release of The Future Is Medieval, the first new album in three years from Leeds pop-meisters Kaiser Chiefs following their brief hiatus.
You'd think that would be newsworthy enough, but oh no, the boys have an innovative trick up their collective sleeve where this record is concerned. Because it's not really a record in a traditional sense. In fact, without you it's nothing.
While there are 20 tracks on offer, it's your job to pick 10 of them, decide the running order, create the artwork and then download the fruits of your labour. Think of it as a DIY project, but with synths and anthemic shouting instead of hammers, nails and broken thumbs.

1. Visit www.kaiserchiefs.com and listen to snippets of 20 brand new tracks
2. Select your favourite 10 songs in any order you like
3. Create your own bespoke album artwork before…
4. … downloading your personal Kaiser Chiefs album
You are then provided with your own unique webpage and tools to promote your album with the opportunity to earn £1 from every album purchased following a recommendation to a friend. So what are you waiting for?
