Dear Adele, this is getting ridiculous...No 1...again!?

After a one-week break to let the RHCP celebrate the release of their new album, Adele returns to the top of the Irish album chart.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 09 Sep 2011

As Adele's 21 very predictably returns to the top, the only surprise on the album chart is a new entry at No9 by a band you may have heard of...The Beatles. Apple has released a remastered edition of their greatest hits album 1 and it was a smart move, apparently. Example's Playing In The Shadows also makes a new entry at No6 of the chart.

Leona Lewis and Avicii make an impressive new entry at No3 of the Singles Chart with Collide, but they cannot beat Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera, who remain on top with 'Moves like Jagger'. Things don't look bad for Snow Patrol and The Saturdays, who enter the chart at No5 and No6 with their new singles.

Here's the Top 5 of this week's charts:

Album Chart

1.Adele – 21

2.David Guetta – Nothing But The Beat

3.Red Hot Chilli Peppers – I'm With You

4.Adele – 19

5.Amy Winehouse – Back To Black

Singles Chart

1.Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera – 'Moves Like Jagger'

2.Christina Perri – 'Jar Of Hearts'

3.Leona Lewis and Avicii – 'Collide'

4.Calvin Harris – 'Feels So Close'

5.Snow Patrol – 'Called Out In The Dark'
