Dog bites Morrissey
The singer injured his finger but is fine
Speaking through his True To You fansite, Morrissey has revealed that he is currently recovering from injuries suffered from a dog bite.
The former Smiths singer (and recent Hot Press contributor) fractured his finger following the canine attack and was treated at a Malmo hospital. The dog was clearly unaware of the great work Moz has done for animal rights over the years.
The statement reads: "Morrissey sustained hand and arm injuries recently after being attacked by a dog in England. Morrissey has attended hospital in Malmo (Sweden) where x-rays reveal a fractured index finger on his right hand. The cracked bone is at the tip of the finger. The injury will not affect upcoming shows."
Those upcoming shows include, of course, a gig at the Savoy in Cork on July 27 and two nights at Vicar Street on July 29 and 30.
