Duke Special inks record deal
As predicted in the last issue of Hot Press, maverick Belfast popster Duke Special has signed to V2 Records.
Also home to the likes of Aimee Mann, Stereophonics and Mercury Rev, the label have locked him away in the studio to work on the follow-up to 2005’s Choice-nominated Adventures In Gramophone album.
Featuring such live favourites as ‘Portrait’ and ‘Freewheel’, there will be a limited edition of six 7” pieces of vinyl housed in a wooden box.
Meanwhile, May 27 and 28 finds kicking off an 11-date Irish tour with Belfast shows in the Empire Music Hall.
