The Forbidden Fruit festival has been confirmed for The Royal Hospital in Kilmainham on the June Bank Holiday weekend of next year.
The festival, which debuted last year, and is supported by Bulmer's, has been described as a collaborative fusion of music, art and fashion. There will be five stages, including, for the first time, a comedy stage. "Together with a fine array of delicious food, creative craft stalls and the usual festival quirks and oddities, Forbidden Fruit is the best reason to spend a Bank Holiday weekend in Dublin," a spokesperson for the festival organisers POD said.
The festival takes place in the grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art and will run on this occasion over three days – Saturday June 2, Sunday June 3 and Monday June 4. Full details of the festival line-up will be announced at the end of January 2012.
