Free events lined up for love:live music
Thousands of Irish musicians will stage performances on June 21...
To celebrate love:live music - Ireland's national music day - on June 21, a host of musicians will stage over 200 free events around the country.
Jimmy Deenihan TD, Minister for Arts, Heritage & the Gaeltacht, recently joined singers from Dublin City Council’s Opera in the Park, members of the Royal Irish Academy and Irish rapper GI for a musical performance at Merrion Square, giving a taster of what to expect on Friday, June 21. The celebrations aim to showcase all genres of music, performed by both professionals and non-professionals, and you're asked to show your support on the day by attending some of these fantastic free events!
love:live music is co-ordinated by Music Network, and funded by the Department of Arts, Heritage & the Gaeltacht, and the Arts Council. For more info, head to [link]www.lovelivemusic.ie[/link] [link]www.facebook.com/pages/LoveLive-Music[/link] and on Twitter: @lovelivemusicIE
