Grouse Lodge Studios nominated for technical award
Westmeath's Grouse Lodge Studios has been nominated for a prestiguous technical award for its contribution to the Snow Patrol single 'Chasing Cars'.
The team behind the Patrol's multi-million selling single were nominated for a 2007 Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Award in the category of Outstanding Creative Achievement, Record Production/Single or Track.
The band recorded the single in three locations, including the famed Westmeath studio, with Irishman Garret 'Jacknife' Lee.
The TEC Awards were established by Mix Magazine in 1985 to honour outstanding achievement in the professional recording and sound production industry. Nominations for the awards are made by 165 audio industry professionals.
Located in a converted stone building in Co. Westmeath, Grouse Lodge Studios was established in 2002 and in recent years has played host to Muse, Bloc Party, Manic Street Preachers and many others.
