Jape, Royseven, Kíla & more for Festival Of Fires
A mouthwatering line-up doth approach...
The Burning Man meets Braveheart as the Festival Of Fires returns over the May Bank Holiday.
70 bands playing six stages is the deal as the likes of Bressie, Hothouse Flowers, Kíla, Dónal Lunny & Friends, Jape, Royseven, Jerry Fish, Johnnt Fean, Hawkwind’s Nik Turner, The Riptide Movement, Trenchtown, The Kilfenora Céilí Band, Relish, The Hot Sprockets, Shadowplay, Propellar Palms and Neon Wolf converge on Mullingar’s Hill of Uisneach to celebrate the ancient Celtic festival of Bealtaine.
The festival is as much about what’s happening off stage as it is on with a holistic healing area, medieval village, historical re-enactments, arts & heritage trail, craft & food fair, children’s areas, spoken word and the titular bonfires. Tickets are a bargain €39.50.
