Josh Ritter confirms Irish reading events

To celebrate the publication of his debut novel Bright's Passage, Idaho singer Josh Ritter will embark on a mini Irish tour, taking in venues in Dublin, Cork and Galway.

The book, which is already a bestseller in the US, will be published here by New Island. The company's commissioning editor Eoin Purcell said, "When I read it, I instantly fell in love with this brilliantly quirky tale and the lyrical quality to Josh’s writing".

Ritter will read from the novel and play acoustically at the following venues:

Christchurch, Triskel Christchurch, Cork (June 2), Roisin Dubh, Galway (3) and Dublin Writers Week Festival @Liberty Hall, Dublin (4).
