Josh Ritter confirms album release
Josh Ritter has confirmed the release date of his new album.
The Historical Conquests Of Josh Ritter was originally announced for an August 21 release, and while that date remains for North America, the Irish release is planned for September 7.
To build anticipation further, you can preview samples of the new album online at www.independentrecords.ie/joshritter.shtml, where you’ll also be able to stream the entire In The Dark: Live At Vicar St. album for free.
As was the case with Ireland’s other adopted artist David Gray, Ritter’s success in Ireland has begun to spread to his native lands, with an appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and with the song ‘Good Man’ from The Animal Years appearing on the season finale of Fox’s House.
Author Stephen King also called Animal Years the best album of 2006 in his column for Entertainment Weekly.
