Kevin Shields returns

There is a Santa Claus! Yup, a mere 12 years after the last My Bloody Valentine album Kevin Shields has penned and put his name to some new material!
The notoriously reclusive Dubliner contributes four songs – 'City Girl', 'Golf Course', 'Ikebana' and 'Are You Awake?' – to Lost In Translation, a Sofia Coppola film starring Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson and Giovanni Ribsi. Due for Stateside release in September, the yarn "examines close friendships against the backdrop of the city of Tokyo."
The soundtrack also features My Bloody Valentine's classic 'Sometimes' and contributions from Air, Death In Vegas, Squarepusher and Phoenix.
