LISTEN: New Killers track
'Runaways' is taken from the upcoming Battle Born.
With The Killers fourth album, and first in over four years, due out September 17, we now have the first taster from it. Aired on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show last night, 'Runaways' proves the Las Vegas quartet have lost none of their ability to pen an epic electro number that wears its American pride on its sleeve during the years away – perhaps unsurprisingly, as Brandon Flowers has spent most of his time doing just that with his solo project.
You can listen to it below.
Flowers admits that he always checks the online reaction to his new work so if you wanna be a keyboard warrior, bear in mind the fact that you have the fragile emotional state of a pop star resting in your hands:
"I'm guilty of checking, seeing what the scoop is. I want people to like it, so I'm kind of curious as to what the reaction is."
The Killers are Stradbally-bound in September.
They've been away
