Large Irish presence at Green Man Festival
The live music extravaganza will take place in Wales this August.
Van Morrison, Cashier No. 9 and Rubberbandits fly the Irish flag at the Green Man Festival, which runs from August 16 to 19 in Wales’ Black Mountains.
“Of all the festivals in all the fields in Britain, probably the best field of all has been bagged by Green Man,” reckons the man from The Times.
The line-up’s dead tasty too with Feist, Mogwai, The Walkmen, Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Yann Tiersen, Of Montreal, Jonathan Richman, tune-yArDs, Michael Kiwanuka, The Felice Brothers, Junior Boys, Scritti Politti, Lower Dens, Ghostpoet, Field Music and a deejaying James Blake a large handful of the other acts performing.
Add in comedy, literature, outdoor pursuits and 24-hour bars, and it sounds like an absolute winner.
