Laura Izibor to release debut EP
After what’s proven to be an epic wait, Laura Izibor finally gets to release her debut EP this week in Ireland, Britain and the US.
A digital-only curtain-raiser for Laura's album which follows in the new year, Live From Crawdaddy, Dublin features ‘Don’t Stay’, ‘I Don’t Want You Back’, ‘Can’t Be Love’, ‘Mmm…’ and ‘Look At What You Got’.
Date-wise, you can catch the Dubliner at Music Ireland ’07, RDS, Dublin (October 6); Cork Jazz Festival (28); and Crawdaddy, Dublin (November 5).
As previously reported in Hot Press, Izibor is much in demand as a Hollywood soundtracker with ‘Shine’ gracing Scarlett Johanssen and Alicia Keys’ The Nanny Diaries; ‘Mmm’ on Janet Jackson and Jill Scot’s Why Did I Get Married?; and ‘From My Heart To Yours’ jollying up both Grey’s Anatomy and The Hills.
She’s also contributed the lead track to the big screen makeover of Cecilia Ahern’s P.S. I Love You, which was shot on location in Dublin, stars the likes of Hilary Swank and Liza Kudrow and premieres at Christmas.
To get Music Ireland 'Access All Areas' weekend tickets in advance (€15 ticket allows access on Sat 6th & Sun 7th Oct), see http://www.ticketmaster.ie/promo/o3c98o
