Lisa Hannigan moves up the UK charts
Her debut solo record, Sea Sew, has entered the UK album charts at number 58 since its release on Monday.
The album has garnered critical acclaim already in Ireland since its September release, topping the Hot Press Readers' Poll, and has stayed steady in the Top 50 of the Irish album charts.
Hannigan continues to build on her success since her departure from Damien Rice's band, with a performance of 'I Don’t Know' on BBC Two’s Later… With Jools Holland last week, helping her to reach a huge TV audience.
Her album is now nestled between rapper Asher Roth’s Asleep in the Bread Aisle (Asher also performed on Later...) and Simon and Garfunkel’s Collection in the official UK charts.
Be sure to check out our interview with Lisa, along with tourmate Jape, in a forthcoming issue of Hot Press.
