Neil Hannon nixes Galway gig
Neil Hannon has announced on his website that he has no plans to play this year’s Galway Arts Festival, although a concert date was advertised.
“The Arts Festival has advertised The Divine Comedy at the Radisson Hotel for Friday July 27, but this event was never agreed and will not be going ahead,” Hannon says.
The more upbeat news is that “separate Irish dates are planned for later in the year.”
Along with various other activities, the Dublin resident has been assisting Pugwash with the assembling of their 11 Modern Antiquities album, which is due in August. The collection also includes two tracks – ‘At The Sea’ and ‘My Genius’ – that were co-written with former XTC man Andy Partridge.
