New single from Simplifires
You can download 'I'm Not A Weapon' for free from the band's website
Hot Press's favourite Mexican-Irish band (ok, there isn't THAT much competition..!) have released a promo single from their upcoming EP. 'I'm Not A Weapon' is available for the princely sum of nada from [link]www.simplifires.com[/link]. Check out the video below.
Simplifiers frontman, Dave O'Gorman tells Hot Press: "The concept revolves around the fact that a weapon doesn't know it is one until it's used for a malevolent purpose, and maybe if it were conscious, it would not agree to being used as a weapon."
Agreed! The band's debut Why People Make Countries was described by Hot Press as “stonking Mexican-Irish stadium rock”, so we're looking forward to the aforementioned EP. The boys hope to make a trip to Ireland in the spring of 2011, keep an eye on hotpress.com for updates.
