Preachers Son back from Italy and heading to Whelan's
With their debut album Love Life & Limb clocking up many a positive review, Preachers Son will play Whelan's this week
The band will appear at Whelan's this Thursday, November 11 following their recent jaunt around Ireland, Italy and the UK.
Guests at the Whelan’s gig will include Duncan Maitland and Autonomous I. Doors open 9pm, and tickets are €8.
Guest on Love Life & Limb include Gavin Friday and Liam Ó Maonlaí, and its recent launch in The Mercantile, Dublin, saw the band joined by guests Shazwanda, My Evil Ex, The Aftermath and BP Fallon.
"The sound is glam-meets-swamp rock and southern gothic, with hints of everyone from The White Stripes and the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion to Lou Reed and, most obviously, Bowie.... when she does take to the mic Duffy-Fallon's sweet tones provide a fine foil for Hogan's dark, deep growl. All good. This one has potential to run and run." Hot Press
