Protobaby secure Play On The Day final spot
Protobaby claimed the 3rd spot in the Play On The Day Final in Dolan's Warehouse in Limerick.
Protobaby saw off challenges from Animal Beats, Paddy Dennehy & The Red Herring and Strange Boats to claim the place in the final in Whelan's Dublin. Following on from last night's victories for In Their Thousands & The Hot Sprockets, three of the four finalists have now been identified, with the remaining regional final taking place next week in Cork.
"Protobaby were worthy winners tonight" commented Hot Press' Colm O'Hare, "from the outset of the demo submissions, there's been a great standard throughout the competition and the other 3 acts all made strong claims tonight, but there's no doubt that Protobaby are going to be serious contenders for the main crown."
