Pussy Riot solidarity campaign in Belfast

Amnesty International have held virtual demonstrations in the city.

With the music community, humanitarian organisations and Western countries in general vocalising their opposition to the jailing of three members of Russian punks Pussy Riot last week, Amnesty International have found a unique way to demonstrate in Belfast. Some of the Northern Irish capital's most famous statues have been covered with the band's infamous, brightly-coloured balaclavas and adorned with protest signs (as above).
