Radio City Gig for Focus Ireland
The Hot Sprockets, Red Kid, Peakin Trippers and The Valentinos will join forces on May 9 at Radio City, Dublin in support of the 4 peaks challenge in aid of Focus Ireland.
The charity looks after the needs of the Irish Homeless and campaigns for the rights of people out-of-home and the prevention of homelessness.
Paul Cotterell, manager of The Hot Sprockets and Red Kid, is taking part in the Four Peaks Challenge in June. The challenge requires participants to climb 4 peaks: Carrantuohill (Kerry), Mweelrea (Mayo), Slieve Donard (Down) and Lugnaquilla (Wicklow) covering 800 miles in 3 days. All proceeds from the gig will go directly to the charity.
Frankie Kelly of The Hot Sprockets says “we're all up for making this gig a stomper, its money going straight to the Irish homeless and its more relevant now than ever with people being hit by the recession”.
The gig takes place at Radio City, Store St., on May 9, with tickets priced €10.
