Rodrigo y Gabriela witness Conan O'Brien stunt mishap
Plus the LA Times tip Laura Izibor for a Grammy nomination.

Rodrigo y Gabriela were side of stage on Friday when a stunt Conan O’Brien was performing went wrong, and The Tonight Show With… host had to be rushed to hospital.
After his head was found to be bashed but otherwise undamaged, O’Brien issued a statement saying: “Last thing I remember I was enjoying the play with Mrs. Lincoln, and the next thing I knew I was in bed being served cookies and juice.”
As a result on the injury, the taping of the show, which was also to have featured Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher and Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane had to be cancelled.
In other Stateside news, the LA Times are tipping Laura Izibor to be among the runners and riders in early November when this year’s Grammy Award nominees are announced. Noting that she has “that Jill Scott/Jazmine Sullivan/India.Arie vibe”, they reckon the Dubliner could get a Best New Artist nod.
