Saw Doctors & Thin Lizzy for Galway
It's part of the Volvo Ocean Race Finale, taking place at the end of the month.
There'll be music and merriment in Galway from June 30, when the Volvo Ocean Race Finale kicks off!
The race, which starts in Lorient, France (twinned with Galway) will make its way to the City of the Tribes over the course of the festival, finishing up on July 8. Galway's Mayor will officially launch the event on June 30, and a whole host of Irish and international acts will perform on the day, including Thin Lizzy, Saw Doctors, The Kanyu Tree, Maverick Sabre and Niwel Tsumbu will perform over the course of the festival.
On Wednesday July 4, (Independence Day) there will be a 'Fourth of July' parade, and the excellent Chicago family troupe Hypnotic Brass Ensemble will take to the stage. There will be visual art displays around the city too, as well as a fashion show in the Global Arena.
