How to get there:
• Bus Eireann will be running a special service on the day of the concert. Special buses will depart from Busarus, Dublin from 10.30am, returning from Slane straight after the concert. Tickets priced £10 must be bought in advance. Tel: (01) 8366111.

Facts & Figures:
• Over 70,000 people are expected to attend this one day event.
• The stage is 100’ wide and 80’ deep. The set is 75’ high.
• The stage weighs 800 tonnes. The total tonnage being transported to Slane is 1850 tonnes – this includes all the bands’ equipment and the steel and scaffolding used to construct the stage and set.
• 150 people are needed to construct the stage and set. It will take them 5 days to construct and two days to take down.
• 500 people will be involved in the running of the event.

• 600 lights will be used on stage.
• The show will be powered by 2,500,000 watts of power.
• There will be a ‘heavy’ volume of traffic in the backstage area, i.e. 20 tourbuses and 48 articulated trucks.
• Fans will munch their way through 100,000 hotdogs, 150,000 hamburgers, 250,000 breadrolls and will use 10,000 litres of ketchup and drink 250,000 pints of liquid refreshments.
• Set up in a special beer tent inside the arena, the longest bar in Ireland will open at 2.00pm.
Slane TV
There will be two massive TV screens, one located at the side of the stage, and the second on top of the hill in front of the castle. The screens are brand new, state-of-the-art, high-visibility Mitsubishi Diamond Vision III screens measuring 35’ x 20’.

Running from 1.00pm, Slane TV will broadcast in stereo sound through the concert PA in between the acts.
Do’s & Don’ts:
• It is recommended that people under 16 years be accompanied by a person over 18 years.
• Please note that there will be no camping permitted in the Slane area on the weekend of the concert.
• Buy your ticket from an authorised outlet only, those seeking to gain admission using a counterfeit ticket will be prosecuted.
• Admission is by full ticket only – no re-admission.
• The use of cameras and/or recording equipment is prohibited.
