Slane drummers to hold Dublin workshop
Chad Smith, among others, will reveal their tricks of the trade

Partial to a paradiddle? If so you'll want to get along to the Dublin SFX on August 22 for a Drum Workshop featuring the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith, Feeder's Mark Richardson and Halite's Graham Hopkins who are all Slane bound the following day.
Tickets are available now from the venue box-office and Music Maker.
Talking of Halite, they've a new single, 'Head On', out on September 12 which ties in nicely with their September 26 show at the Savoy, Cork supporting The Thrills.

Early fans will be disappointed to learn that in telling the story of Ms California, “a runner, rebel and a stunner”, they’re continuing down the middle of the road that they seem to like so much, leaving their days of edgy funk rock well behind. So much so that poor guitarist John Frusciante is left doing a cover version of ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ in the background while the rest of the band plod along behind Anthony Kiedis’s isolated enthusiasm. A new low for them? Quite possibly.
