Smashing Pumpkins release new EP in November
You can sample The Solstice Bare on hotpress.com right now
Billy Corgan's crew plan to put out a new five-song EP on November 23. It will be the second volume from their epic 44-song Teargarden By Kaleidyscope project and will have limited worldwide physical distribution.
Corgan, the sole remaining original member (and longtime Pumpkins dictator), has called the project a return to the band's "psychedelic roots", describing it as "atmospheric, melodic, heavy and pretty." The plan behind it is to release all the songs online, one at a time, for free - two singles from The Solstice Bare, 'Freak' and 'Spangled' have already been released.
The first volume Songs For A Sailor arrived in May this year. You can check out the songs from that, as well as the two new tunes 'Freak' and 'Spangled' below.
