Snow Patrol bag no 1 in UK and Ireland
The Snow Patrol boys will be forgiven for any champagne hangovers that may occur today, as they celebrate a double number one.
Eyes Open, the follow up to the hugely successful Final Straw, made the top spot in the Irish album charts on Saturday, before repeating its success in the UK.
Writing on their messageboard, SP frontman Gary Lightbody expressed his gratitude: "Thanks for buying the record. It's overwhelming for us the amount of people that have bought it so far. Staggering really."
Stay tuned to the Hot Press due out on May 18 for the chance to win one of ten SIGNED copies of the said album, plus a full report on their Dublin Castle concert.
