Snow Patrol's keyboard player arrested

Snow Patrol were forced to play their Saturday night headlining slot at Oxegen without keyboard-player Tom Simpson after he was arrested at Northolt RAF base where the band were catching a private plane to Dublin following their Live Earth performance.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 08 Jul 2007

A sheriff’s warrant was arrested after the 35-year-old failed to appear in court in Scotland on charges of possessing a Class A drug.

If found guilty, Simpson is likely to find himself in the same position as The View’s Kyle Falconer who following a conviction for cocaine possession can’t obtain a US entry visa.

Although understandably shocked by the turn of events, Snow Patrol took to the stage at Punchestown with their keyboard tech deputising for Tom who today, Sunday, remains in custody.
