Sonic cathedrals (literally)
Blown away by Low in Christchurch Cathedral? Check out this year's Galway Arts Festival, where Sigur Ros (among several very exciting but unconfirmed others) will be playing St Nicholas' Church. Read on for details
Stop press: hotpress.com can exclusively reveal that glacial slowcorists and native Hopelandic speakers Sigur Ros are to play St. Nicholas’ Church on July 28th as part of this year's Galway Arts Festival.
What's more, it is believed (but not confirmed) that David Kitt will appear with them.
If that weren't enough, rumours abound that no less than Nick Cave and Dirty Three are also scheduled to play.
However, this has been denied by festival organisers.
"We don’t have a final line-up as yet," said a spokesperson, "but Nick Cave will not be playing. Full details of the festival line-up will be published on May 28th."
More news as we have it.
