The XX Top Irish Indie Chart

The xx have topped the Irish Indie Chart in the same week that saw them pick up the Mercury Music Prize.

The trio saw their self-titled debut move up 8 places from #9.

They replace Fight Like Apes whose The Body of Christ and Legs of Tina Turner LP slips to #2, just ahead of Becoming a Jackal which remains at #3 for Villagers.

There are three new entrants in the Top 20 this week with The Charlatans the highest placed at #11.
