The xx top the Irish indie chart
Sophomore effort reaches the summit...
Fresh from a mesmeric performance on the Main Stage at this year's Electric Picnic, London trio The xx have topped the Irish Indie Chart at the first time of asking with Coexist, the follow-up to debut album xx.
There's also a strong showing from Irish sisters Heathers, whose impressive Kingdom takes third spot, just behind Two Door Cinema Club's Beacon, down one place from last week.
Elsewhere, Adele's 21 continues to make waves, remaining in the top five at #4 while Glen Hansard's Rhythm And Repose moves up one to #5. The week's third highest new entry sees the David Byrne & St. Vincent collab Love This Giant debut at #8.
