Thin Lizzy announce new line-up, plus Belfast + Dublin gigs
Frontman duties fall to Ricky Warwick.
Thin Lizzy are to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Phil Lynott’s death with a January 4, 2011 show in the Dublin O2.
With John Sykes having departed the ranks, lead vocal and guitar duties will fall to former New Model Army and The Almighty man Ricky Warwick who’s also been forging a highly successful solo career for himself. A native of Newtownards in County Down, he’s good friends with Lizzy guitarist Vivian Campbell who together with Scott Gorham, Brian Downey, Darren Wharton and Marco Mendoza completes this latest line-up.
The band have also said that thye will play in Belfast's Waterfront Hall, but dates have yet to be confirmed.
Warwick will play a solo gig in the Spring and Airbrake in Belfast on October 2 before Thin Lizzy's UK tour starts in January.
