Tom Dunne supports Concern Ireland campaign
The Electric Ireland Powering Kindness initiative runs next week.
Tom Dunne is championing Concern Ireland all next week on his 10am to noon Newstalk 106-108 fm show.
It coincides with Electric Ireland Powering Kindness, the November 17 to 24 initiative whereby members of the public are being asked to do ‘good deeds’ for Concern, Special Olympics Ireland or Focus Ireland.
Electric Ireland are donating €50,000 to the organisation with the most good deeds – see [link]www.poweringkindness.ie[/link] on Saturday for how it all works – and €25,000 to the runners-up.
Meanwhile, Concern are running their annual fundraising fast on December 7, with people invited to sign-up at [link]www.concernfast.org[/link].
Having been there in January with Concern, our man Stuart Clark will be talking to Tom Dunne on Monday about Haiti, which is in urgent need of international assistance again following Superstorm Sandy.
