Tom Tom Club for Vicar St. show
The Talking Heads co-founders will take their celebrations to Dublin.
Tom Tom Club, featuring Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth of Talking Heads, have confirmed they will play Vicar St on Friday July 22.
It's an important year for the husband and wife team as Tom Tom Club celebrate 30 years of existence. To mark the occasion, the band will perform a series of shows around the world.
Frantz and Weymouth started the Tom Tom Club during a five year hiatus from Talking Heads. Their funky music style has been a fundamental part of the dance music scene since the early '80s. Their first single 'Wordy Rappinghood' played a important role in bringing mainstream attention to hip-hop. Some of the group's songs have been covered and remixed by various artists such as Grandmaster Flash and Mariah Carey.
Tickets priced €34.60 will be on sale from tomorrow (Friday) at Sound Cellar and Ticketmaster.
