Two Door Cinema Club snag NME Award nominations
Trio up for two awards in yearly bash
Northern Irish band Two Door Cinema Club have picked up a cool 2 nominations for the 2011 Shockwaves NME Awards to be held in London in February.
The band, who've had a phenomenal year, are up for 'Best New Band' and 'Best Album', the latter a category which includes heavyweights like Arcade Fire and Foals, for their debut album Tourist History which we gave the boys a glowing review for in our February 2010 issue.
Other big nominees include Foals and My Chemical Romance with 5 apiece, although Gerard Way's band suffer the indignity of being nominated for both 'Best' and 'Worst Album' for their Danger Days set.
Less likely to attend are Cheryl Cole and Justin Bieber both nominated for 'Worst Album' and 'Least Stylish'.
