UPDATE: Villagers to play Christmas shows

The post-Picnic gig announcements are coming thick and fast with Villagers en route before Crimbo to The Forum, Waterford (December 13); SET Theatre, Kilkenny (14); Savoy, Cork (15); St. John's Church, Limerick (17); Black Box, Galway (18); Limelight, Belfast (19); and Vicar St., Dublin (21).
Tickets for all of these are on sale now.
In the meantime, hotpress.com has all our bits crossed that tomorrow will bring a magnificent Mercury victory for Villagers.
The current Paddy Power betting has Becoming A Jackal at 14/1 with Paul Weller’s Wake Up The Nation the favourite at 6/5. With odds that long, we’d definitely recommend putting a tenner on the boy O’Brien.
