Vyvienne Long for Mill Theatre gig
Damien Rice cellist Vyvienne Long heads the bill for the upcoming Bamboo Sessions gig in the Mill Theatre, Dundrum.
There’s a pearler of a gig coming up on August 9 in the Mill Theatre, Dundrum under the Bamboo Sessions banner.
Along with house band the DMT String Quartet whose members have individually played with the likes of U2, REM and Cathy Davey, the line-up features Damien Rice cellist Vyvienne Long; Íse who started her career alongside Sinéad O’Connor in Ton Ton Macoute and has been hobnobbing of late with Enya’s manager Nick Ryan; Belfast guitar-for-hire Robin James Hunt; former Mississippi Mermaid Celine Carroll; the Brecht and Brel-loving Jody Trehy; and ace Dublin songwriter and musical arranger Aidan Murphy.
Add in a competition which will land the winner €1,500 of recording time, and we reckon that the €20 ticket price is a steal!
