Come On My Selector (Warp)
I could easily have put down 10 videos directed by Chris Cunningham. He’s the king. All his videos look as if they’ve been made in conjunction with the music. In particular, Tom Jenkinson’s – aka Squarepusher’s – rhythms are incredible, and Cunningham just seems to understand what’s going on in the music and how to translate it to film.
The story involves a child locked up in a home with two beefy security guards. She only has her little fluffy dog for company. She escapes by dressing up as a doctor using the dog on her shoulders for added height. She’s discovered but uses karate and ingenuity to subdue the two huge dumb guards. She then transfers the dog’s brain into the mind one of the guards and they both escape.

Amazing editing, shooting, soundtracking, lighting. And it’s a laugh.
