Colm O'Hare
A Hot Press contributor since the early 1990s Colm’s work has also appeared on the pages of the Evening Herald, the Irish Independent and Melody Maker, among other publications. In his teens, he played guitar in local bands in the Howth area, which also included the likes of Gravedigger, Jack Dublin and Waterboy Steve Wickham, while he once organised a school concert that featured the future U2 on the bill. A regular radio contributor, he’s one of the Hot Press Radio Nova Rock Report team and hosted his own midnight show on Dublin radio station, Anna Livia. A fan of the original Social Networking site – i.e. the pub, he has written frequently on the increasingly well-organised war on alcohol and is one of the few people on the planet who doesn’t (yet) own a smartphone!
