Liam Gallagher will be returning to Irish shores this Sunday, June 23rd with an open-air performance at Irish Independent Park, Cork.
The abrasive former Oasis front man has kept himself pretty busy ever since the fallout with his brother Noel back in 2009.
Upon Oasis’ dissolution, he set up the alt-rock outfit Beady Eye with three of his former Oasis bandmates. Their debut ‘Different Gear, Same Speed’ ended up receiving a warm response on both sides of the pond, and after Beady Eye called it a day in 2014, Liam went solo.
His solo efforts so far include his debut ‘As You Were’ which peaked at number 1 in the UK & Ireland, as well as his new project ‘Why Me,Why Not?’ due out this September. Just last week Liam teased the new project with the release of his single ‘Shockwave’.
Liam has a busy summer ahead of him promoting the new project, with dates that include Prague, Glastonbury & of course, the Rebel County.

So we know you’re all very excited to see the man himself live, but you’d be glad to know what he had to say about the upcoming gig. In a tweet, the singer wrote:
"I’m absolutely over the Keith, to be going back to County Cork to headline Irish Independent Park on 23rd June LG x"
There you have it, LG approves.
