Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are set to make their return to Ireland, performing at Malahide Castle this Sunday June 16th. They'll be joined by special guests Doves, DMA’S and Blossoms.
The band are already well acquainted with Irish shores, having played Dublin's 3Arena in 2018, as part of their tour for Who Built The Moon? - their 2017 album which was a record-breaking 10th consecutive chart-topper in the UK for Gallagher, a feat which no other artist has achieved.
The album debuted in the UK at Number 1, achieving gold certification in less than 2 weeks after its release, and marked a hat-trick of successes for the High Flying Birds after their first two records. The first of which being their eponymous debut effort from 2011, which went double platinum in the UK and to date has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide. Their follow-up in Chasing Yesterday brought similar riches, produced some live favourites 'In the Heat of the Moment' and 'Lock all the Doors' and prompted another 122 shows in 28 countries for the band, and whilst they haven’t reached the dizzying heights of Oasis, Noel and Co. can still hold their own.
