30 years ago today, legendary Queen frontman Freddie Mercury died at the age of 45. With one of the most iconic moustaches in music history, we're giving away a Hot Press print to mark Movember 2021.
No examination of the man, the myth and the legend that is Freddie Mercury would be complete without mentioning his magnificent moustache. Slash has his top hat, The Beatles had their mop tops and the Queen frontman had his terrific tea strainer, which, if the band were around nowadays, would probably have its own Twitter account. What better icon to pair with Movember 2021?
Back in July 1986, Freddie Mercury was put on the cover of Hot Press magazine. It remains a historic print, and our readers now have the chance to get their hands on it - all to mark Movember 2021. The organisation's fundraisers are a global community of fired up Mo Bros and Mo Sisters – aka rock stars making a difference in mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Your donation could help save a father, a brother, a son, a friend, a partner, a man’s life. Visit ie.movember.com to join the current hairy season, or to give much-needed funds.
