Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) takes place in Groningen this week and will feature 12 Irish acts. The festival offers a great promotion opportunity for emerging artists all across Europe.

Music from Ireland, Irish Music Export Office funded by Culture Ireland, has coordinated the Irish presence and promoted the acts. The event brings exposure to all the national radio stations under the European broadcasters banner.

“Eurosonic is a really big date in the annual calendar for promoting Irish music and artists across Europe," said Angela Dorgan, director of Music from Ireland. "Ireland has done very well at this event with Villagers, Kodaline, Hozier, James Vincent McMorrow and, more recently, Fontaines D.C. winning border breaker awards. It is an important event for acts to gain audiences and more importantly, work across this huge territory."
The festival will take place from January 15-18.
