From their HQ just off Parnell Street, Dublin City Apartments are offering a fantastic way to experience the capital - whether as a tourist or as a corporate traveller.
Business partners Johnny Drake and Phillip Cassidy set up Dublin City Apartments in 2007. Their aim was to develop a business that would let fully serviced, short and medium term luxury properties, catering to both leisure and corporate clients.
From their base on Granby Row, just off Parnell Street, opposite the Rotunda Hospital, their business has developed strongly, with tech giants such as Google, Facebook and Dropbox – along with HSBC – amongst their burgeoning client base.
“We cater to both corporate travellers and the leisure market sector,” says Drake. “We have a range of fully serviced apartments located all around Dublin city. Most of our clientele are coming over on business trips, and looking for that perfect place to stay, which is both central and feels more comfortable than a regular hotel.”
This business is all about the quality of what you have to offer. “Our corporate guests may be with us short term, or on an extended stay, so we like to make it feel like home for them, and luxurious at the same time. We provide full amenities, including all kitchen and bath supplies, cleaning services and laundry facilities, along with free WiFi, cable TV and Bluetooth-compatible audio systems. We even offer private airport transfers, so our guests feel really welcome from the moment they’ve landed.”
The apartments’ uniformly excellent locations are another huge advantage, notes Drake.

“Most of our corporate properties are situated close to the financial and tech hubs, to cater for our clients’ needs,” he says. “So you’ll find us in the IFSC, Grand Canal Dock and Ballsbridge, places that are a little quieter and have a neighbourhood feel, with great restaurant options. “We also cater to the leisure market – tourists who are over for a short city break and want to experience the real heart of Dublin city. You’ll find our apartments are a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 bed studios in Temple Bar, and a new addition that we are in the process of opening on 70 Grafton Street.”
They are also in the key Northside location of O’Connell Street – Dublin’s most historic street – just down the road from their own North side HQ.
“Our clients love that they are in the centre of things, whether it is Temple Bar or O’Connell Street, with access to live music, great restaurants, theatre and lots more, every night of the week.”
