Adele spoke out about fans throwing objects at artists during live shows at her Caesar's Palace residency in Las Vegas.
London hitmaker Adele spoke out at her recent Caesar's Palace show about the recent slew of objects being thrown at artists during live performances.
At her residency 'Weekends with Adele' in Las Vegas, the Grammy winning artist told the crowd “Have you noticed how people are, like, forgetting fucking show etiquette at the moment, throwing shit onstage? Have you seen that?”
It has long been common practice for fans to throw small, soft objects like scarves, teddy bears, or flowers at the end of the act. At his Malahide Park show last week, Hozier received a crocheted plushie in the colours of the trans pride flag, which he thanked the fan for at the end of his set.
However, recent months have seen a spate of fans throwing hard objects onto the stage and even directly at the artist performing.
Lil Nas X narrowly dodged a sex toy thrown during his Lollapalooza set in Sweden last week, stopping the music and dancers to ask "who threw they pussy on stage?"

Rapper Kid Cudi walked off stage after fans threw multiple water bottles during his 2022 set at Rolling Loud Miami.
He warned the crowd “Yo, I will walk off this stage if y’all throw one more fucking thing up here. I will fucking leave if I get hit with one more fucking thing.”
He followed through on his threat, leaving the stage after just 15 minutes when another bottle was thrown just moments after his warning.

During pop singer Pink's Hyde Park BST set last month, a fan threw a small bag of their mothers ashes on stage, prompting Pink to pause the song, saying "Wait is this your mum? I don't know how I feel about this."
Other artists like Harry Styles and Bebe Rexha were hit by items thrown on stage. Rexha was rushed off stage and required stitches when she was hit by a fan's phone in June.
The 27-year-old later admitted to throwing the phone directly at Rexha according to the Manhattan District Attorney's office. “I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny," he said.
A photo Rexha posted to her Instagram account the next day showed her sporting a large black eye and tape over her left eyebrow.
The fan was charged with two counts of assault in the three degree; one count of harassment in the second degree; one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree; and one count of attempted assault in the third degree.

Last year, singer Steve Lacy smashed an iPhone that had been thrown onstage by a fan during his gig in New Orleans. Singer Ava Max was performing in Los Angeles when an audience member rushed the stage and slapped her in the face.
"He slapped me so hard that he scratched the inside of my eye," the singer later wrote.
Last week, country-pop singer Kelsea Ballerini had to temporarily stop her show in Idaho after she was hit in the face by an object thrown from the crowd.
At her Caesar's Palace show, Adele told the crowd in no uncertain terms, "I'll fucking dare you to throw something at me and I'll fucking kill you. Stop throwing things at the artist!"
