Kiss Me, Kate will be returning to the West End starring Adrian Dunbar.
Adrian Dunbar will be making his musical debut as the lead in the musical Kiss Me, Kate in London’s West End at the Barbican Theatre from June 4 through September 14.
Dunbar will be joined on stage by Stephanie J Block. The musical itself follows the tumultuous relationship between Dunbars’ character, actor-manager Fred Graham, and Blocks’ character, the leading lady and Fred Grahams’ ex-wife, Lilli Vanessi.
Dunbar is most known for his role on the television series Line of Duty in which he played Ted Hastings, the Superintendent in Central Police. The series ran from 2012 to 2021.
Block is a Tony Award winning actress, known for her role in The Cher Show in 2019.
Kiss Me, Kate has a long history of success as it won Best Musical at the Tony Awards a year after its first premier in 1948. Then in 2000 the show was named Best Revival of a Musical.
